UNH Housing is seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to provide incoming UNH students with consistently clean, healthy, safe, and homey environments in the on-campus halls. Ideal candidates are flexible and reliable, have a strong work ethic, have high attention to detail, and work well in team settings.
This crew is responsible for overall upkeep, repairs, and grounds in all residential areas. Employees will be assigned primary areas of focus once hired. On-the-job training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Lifting and physical labor are significant aspects of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
Furniture
Move and assemble furniture and appliances in residential rooms and lounges.
Duties could include setting up rooms, moving furniture from one area to another, and organizing storage rooms throughout campus
Repair
Inspect, remove, maintain, and repair furniture in residential rooms and lounges.
May include minor carpentry repairs on furniture and facilities and preparing rooms for occupancy.
Repairs are performed using basic hand tools and all proper use will be taught.
Grounds
Rake, weed, and general cleanup
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Candidates should have a general understanding of power and hand tools
Be able to perform and understand basic repairs
Lift 25 pounds
Work well autonomously
Excellent organizational skills
Compensation Pay Range:
$16.00 per hour
