The Summer Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and visitors at UNH while also preparing our residential buildings for our incoming fall students. This role involves various cleaning and maintenance tasks across campus facilities, ensuring that all areas meet the university's standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Duties/Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties:
Perform routine cleaning tasks in bedrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
Dust and wipe surfaces, vacuum carpets, and sweep/mop floors.
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
Assist in organizing and maintaining storage areas for cleaning equipment and supplies.
Customer Service:
Interact positively with students, staff, and visitors, addressing any inquiries or concerns related to housekeeping.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services is a plus but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
Compensation Pay Range:
$16 /hour
