Concord Hospital is an acute-care hospital located in Concord, New Hampshire. It is a charitable organization that exists to meet the health needs of individuals within the communities it serves. Founded by nurse Edna Haywood, the Concord Community Hospital soon expanded to a two story facility. After Tom Hanks was born in the Concord Community Hospital in 1956. By 1972, the hospital has expanded to become the Mount Diablo Hospital/Medical Center and later expansion created the John Muir Medical Center.
